Natalie Parkinson, Handler

NatalieNatalie is an experienced dog handler and groomer and she's been part of the Dogs @ Play family for close to two years.

Natalie herself owns a blue cattle dog “Brodie” who's enrolled at Sutherland Shire Dog Training Club. Together over the past 5 years Natalie and Brodie have completed 5 levels of obedience and agility training, an amazing accomplishment, “There's not a day that goes by where Brodie and I don't train, I love that he enjoys achieving the same goals as me” Natalie says.

Natalie is accredited through TAFE N.S.W. having completed certificate 2 & 3 in Companion Animal Studies, but she hasn't stopped there. Natalie has also undertaken an apprenticeship, at the Sydney International Pet Grooming Centre.

Corrie Nichols, Handler

CorrieEvery animal Corrie meets, she falls in love with. In fact, since Corrie could walk no puppy, cat or rabbit for that matter has been safe from a hug. “I just can't help it, when I see a stray or injured animal I just want to help it, yes you could say it's second nature to me” she says.

Corrie has spent the last four years managing boarding kennels on the Central Coast and slowly mastering the art of dog grooming. Further to this, Corrie has raised money for animal refuges and charitie and worked with the Queensland National Parks and Wildlife Service.

Cristy Tetu, Handler

CristyCristy grew up in Chicago and throughout her childhood she's cared for a variety of pets, from dogs to cats, birds to fish, hamsters to hermit crabs. “Yes the hermit crab is a little unusual but they're so much fun to watch, those little guys can really move” she says.

While living in Chicago, Cristy completed her certificate in Animal Behaviour and since has worked and volunteered for many pounds and animal hospitals including the Anti-Cruelty Society.

Natalie Wood, Handler

Natalie has worked in the pet industry for the past three years feeding, walking, washing and caring for dogs. “I love walking the most, being outside taking my friends to the park completes my day and when I get home I take my two a Kelpie-X and Malamute-X to the park” Natalie says.

Not only has Natalie passed her pet first aid course, she's furthered her love for dogs by completing certificate 2 in animal studies and she plans on achieving certificate 3 while undertaking a grooming course.

Aimee Vanderhaegen, Handler

CristyAimee is an esteemed dog handler having worked for the Australian Customs in their National Breeding & Development Centre. Aimee grew up in Melbourne and her career started with voluntary work at Wellington Park Kennels. Aimee's passion for animal care has seen her complete Certificate III in Animal Technology. “Caring for dogs is not a job but a passion for me, I love snuggling up to my Labrador-X Allie” added Aimee.

Aimee has also undertaken a comprehensive course in Dog Training & Behaviour with the National Dog Trainers Federation.

Amanda is responsible for starting Sydney City's first dog daycare centre, now Sydney's most established centre. Dogs @ Play was an innovative response to a problem she faced with her own dogs, ”Everyday I'd leave for work and find it increasingly difficult to leave my dogs home alone while I'd spend long hours in a corporate profession“ Amanda Said.

Amanda is responsible for the day-to-day management of the centre. Her passion for dogs means she's created a centre where Socialisation, Exercise & Play are the focus for every dog. It's Amanda's dedication that makes Dogs @ Play a leader in its field, ”Everyday I care for my clients' best friends, in many cases their only loved ones“ Amanda says. Dogs @ Play clients respect that their dog is not just a customer to Amanda but member of her Dogs @ Play family.

Amanda has undertaken industry accreditation in Dog Care, Obedience, Grooming and she's accredited through TAFE N.S.W. having completed certificate 2 & 3 in Companion Animal Studies. Further to this, Amanda also holds a Bachelor of Business from Newcastle University.
